Enterprise Integration Modernisation using webMethods — GCC Federal Energy & Infrastructure Ministry
01 · CONTEXT
Background
A GCC federal ministry manages a broad mandate spanning energy policy, infrastructure regulation, water, and transportation. Its enterprise IT landscape comprised multiple line-of-business systems — ERP, document management, regulatory reporting, and third-party government platforms — operating in silos with limited automated data exchange.
02 · CHALLENGE
The technical challenge
Design and implement a scalable enterprise integration architecture using the webMethods platform to unify the authority's core systems, automate cross-system data flows, improve data consistency, and lay the foundation for a connected, data-driven government operation.
03 · APPROACH
How we delivered
Intellectual conducted structured integration discovery workshops with technical and business teams, mapping existing data flows, integration pain points, and priority integration scenarios. A phased integration roadmap was produced, followed by the design and delivery of reusable integration services using webMethods Integration Server and API Gateway — with strong emphasis on reusability, error handling, operational monitoring, and full knowledge transfer to the authority's IT team.
